Comparing Approaches to Recognizing the Skills and Credentials of Foreign-Trained Workers

In April 2007, the Public Policy Forum held a three-day seminar entitled “Comparing Approaches to Recognizing the Skills and Credentials of Foreign-Trained Workers”, in Regina. Over 100 leaders representing businesses, unions, sector councils, immigrant serving agencies, regulatory bodies, governments, educational institutions, and assessment agencies came together to examine policies and initiatives relevant to foreign skills and credential recognition at all stages of the Canadian immigration and integration process.

This report is a summary of the seminar proceedings.
