Alika Lafontaine
 

Alika Lafontaine is an award-winning physician, speaker, alignment consultant, and the first Indigenous physician listed by the Medical Post as one of Canada’s 50 Most Powerful Doctors. In 2016, he won the “Great Healthcare Debate”on behalf of the Indigenous Health Alliance, a competition voted on by more than 700 health leaders from across Canada.  As a founding member of the Alliance, he works to align national medical organizations and health decision-makers behind Indigenous communities to achieve practical implement of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action on Health.  Alika currently sits on the Council of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the board of HealthCareCAN and is immediate past-president of the Indigenous Physicians Association of Canada.
