The PPF Announces the Honourees for the Second Annual Western Dinner


David Emerson, Michael Harcourt, Ed John, and Carole Taylor to receive the Peter Lougheed Award for Leadership in Public Policy

The Public Policy Forum today announced the honourees for its Second Annual Western Dinner to be held in Vancouver on September 22nd, 2011. This special event celebrates the tremendous contributions of Western Canadians' to public policy leadership.

The dinner will feature the presentation of the Peter Lougheed Award for Leadership in Public Policy. The Hon. Peter Lougheed served as the tenth Premier of Alberta, and is widely respected as one of Canada's most senior statesmen.

The former Albertan Premier will be on hand for the presentation of the award to the following recipients:

  • David Emerson, former Federal Minister of International Trade, Industry, and the Pacific Gateway;
  • Michael Harcourt, former Premier of British Columbia;
  • Ed John, Grand Chief, Tl'azt'en Nation;
  • Carole Taylor, former Finance Minister of British Columbia
