Media Advisory: Inaugural Public Policy Forum Western Dinner tonight

CALGARY - Gala to celebrate the tremendous contributions to public policy leadership by Western Canadians is a sold-out event. The dinner features the inaugural presentation of the Peter Lougheed Award for Public Policy Leadership and a tribute to Peter Lougheed.

Recipients of the inaugural Lougheed Award are:

  • Roger Gibbins, President and CEO of the Canada West Foundation
  • Ron Hicks, former Deputy Clerk of the Executive Council for the Government of Alberta
  • Martha Piper, former President of the University of British Columbia
  • Clayton Riddell, founder and President of Paramount Resources

Media encouraged and welcome to attend. Event takes place at Calgary's Fairmont Palliser Hotel in the Crystal Ballroom.

Welcoming remarks and Peter Lougheed tribute - 6:30pm
Dinner - 7:00 pm
Awards - 8:00 pm
