Le Forum des politiques publiques (FPP) a publié une nouvelle recherche démographique sur les membres actuels du Parlement du Canada.
Quelques points saillants:
- 24,3% des députés canadiens sont âgés de plus de 60 ans
- 24 députés (7,8%) sont des « non-blancs »
- 203 députés (65,9%) détiennent un diplôme universitaire
- 189 députés (61,4%) proviennent du secteur privé
- 74 députés (24%) sont de nouveaux élus
- 208 députés (67,5%) ont moins de 5 ans d’expérience
