Canada’s North can no longer be ignored. Due to a changing climate, a wealth of natural resources and issues of aboriginal sovereignty, Canadians have come to realize the importance of our northern territories. The Hon. Dennis Fentie, Premier of Yukon, will speak about how his territory is addressing these and other important issues, including northern development, infrastructure, climate change and northern research. He will also discuss his government’s role in the Intergovernmental Forum and provide a long-term outlook on the emerging North.
