Aaron is a Senior Associate of Canada’s Public Policy Forum. From 2010-2012, Aaron served as Vice President at the Forum where he continues to lead the Social Innovation and Social Finance practice. In April 2012, Aaron joined the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation as its Managing Director responsible for Social Innovation became a Director of Social Innovation Generation (SiG).
Aaron has extensive experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. While serving as Policy Director at the Office for Disability Issues in Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, he led a number of initiatives including the design and implementation of the Registered Disability Savings Plan for which he and his team were awarded a 2009 Public Service Award of Excellence by the Clerk of the Privy Council.
Prior to joining the federal public service, Aaron spent eight years as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in Bogota, San Francisco, Sydney, and Toronto. While at Bain, he worked with leading global companies to address some of their largest strategic challenges. In 2005 and 2006, he focused exclusively on helping non-profits, governments, and foundations build strategies to maximize their social impact at Bain's Bridgespan Group.
Aaron holds a Masters of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from University of Toronto.
