Executive Development Program
Since 1999, the PPF has organized annual executive development seminars for provincial and territorial deputy ministers and assistant deputy ministers having stepped into their new role over the course of the previous 18 months. Over the years, participants from every province and territory have attended the seminars to learn from each other and from some of their seasoned colleagues about the unique realities and circumstances that characterize the jobs of senior public servants in Canada.
The PPF aims to expand its executive development program to include seminars designed exclusively for DMs and ADMs from territorial jurisdictions, as well as opportunities for past participants to gather on an annual basis to continue learning together and networking.
Who Should Attend?
The seminar is designed specifically for those from the various provinces and territories who have been appointed as deputy ministers or as assistant deputy ministers in the last 18 months. DM and ADM equivalents and seasoned officials looking for a new learning experience may also enjoy this seminar.
Objectives
- To allow senior officials to learn from each other and from their seasoned colleagues;
- To allow senior public servants to share their own experiences and to address questions that might be difficult to raise in their own working environments; and
- To create a network of individuals able to support each other throughout their careers.
