Northern Executive Development Seminar - Nunavut
When: Tuesday, February 16, 2010 - 08:30 – Friday, February 19, 2010 - 17:00
Where: Iqaluit, Nunavut
For close to ten years, the Public Policy Forum (PPF) has convened annual executive development seminars for new provincial and territorial DMs and ADMs. Canada’s territories have always been very well represented at our seminars, and the Government of Nunavut has expressed keen interest in developing a similar program specifically tailored for its deputy heads and ADM community.
From February 16 to 19, 2010, the Public Policy Forum will host a 2 ½ day seminar specifically designed to help Nunavut’s DMs and ADMs better understand their roles and excel as senior public service officials. The seminar will be designed to take into account the particular context in which they operate, as leaders of a small, northern jurisdiction with a unique governance model. The program will include a combination of expert presentations, hands-on advice from seasoned colleagues, and group discussion allowing for learning and knowledge sharing.
