Net Minder: A Net Neutrality Backgrounder

When: Thursday, November 20, 2008

Where: Ottawa

In 2008, the PPF held a discussion and debate on the increasingly contentious policy and business issues that surrounded the subject of net neutrality. Policy makers, stakeholders, business leaders and other parties came together to answer questions such as; did internet traffic really need to be managed by internet service providers and was the current pricing mechanism flawed; should the business model for the internet be more closely modeled to that of other utilities, which charge consumers based on their consumption levels; and other important consumer issues at stake.

For more information, please see the Outcomes Report that followed the conference and captured its key findings.
