Modernizing the Access to Information Regime: A Public Policy Forum Workshop

When: Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Where: Ottawa

This workshops examined the state of the federal Access to Information and Privacy regimes, in order to catalyze creative thinking, and to generate new ideas around options for modernizing the regimes.

The approach was to engage leading thinkers, practitioners, decision-makers, and other interested parties from all sectors as well as jurisdictions across Canada and internationally in a well-informed, forward-looking discussion.  In order to encourage open-ness and the sharing of information, the workshops were held according to the Chatham House Rule: discussions are on the record, to allow for the Forum to produce a summary report.
