Innovation Roundtables
When: Thursday, May 13, 2010 - 08:45 – 23:30
Where: Various locations
This cross-country roundtable series aims to encourage sectors to discuss, collaborate and take action on innovation in Canada. To be held between September 2009 and May 2010, the roundtables will convene leaders in the private, public and research sectors and will seek to lay out a blueprint for innovation policy and practice in Canada.

Roundtables have taken place in Kelowna, Victoria, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Saskatoon, Regina, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Fredericton and Halifax, Charlottetown, St. John's and Waterloo, The PPF reported on each roundtable and prepared a summary report of all roundtables for Innovation Next, a conference that took place on May 27th, 2010 at the BMO Tower in Toronto.
The series was inspired by the Forum's Science Day in Canada. Held on May 27th 2009, this event brought sectors together for a national conversation about what must be done to turn Canada into a champion of innovation. The final report on the day's discussion is entitled Innovation Nation: Building a Culture and Practice of Innovation in Canada.
