British Columbia: Canada's Pacific Gateway to the World

When: Wednesday, November 24, 2004

Where: Vancouver

The Forum's 2nd Annual Western Conference, British Columbia: Canada’s Pacific Gateway to the World was held in Vancouver on November 24 and 25, 2004. British Columbia is poised to open new doors of opportunity for Canada in the 21st century. British Columbia is much more than Canada’s Pacific gateway to the world; it is a source of economic strength and national pride for all Canadians. The underlying purpose of the conference was to create a dialogue among the federal and provincial governments, as well as the private and not-for-profit sectors, to mutually agree on the issues affecting British Columbia and on the opportunities for working together on a common agenda.
